Q: Why is your site named She Bakes Here?
A: To be honest, I really wanted to use "She Bakes," but someone already took the name. I decided to add the word "Here" because I thought it was a interesting way to describe my baking, since "Here" means pretty much anywhere - my kitchen, my grandma's house, my parents' place, a baking class.
Q: I want to take a cake decorating class at Michaels. How do I do it?
A: It's best to phone or visit a store nearest to you and find out if they are offering a cake class that month. I just went to the front cashier desk when I was purchasing some cookie cutters and I asked if there was any space for an upcoming class and the next thing I knew, I was paying the class fee and going back to get supplies. It's best to talk to a store associate as they will always have a schedule handy.
Q: Why do you use almond milk in your recipes, why not regular milk?
A: Trevor is lactose intolerant, so in order to be nice, I don't use regular milk. Otherwise I'd be stuck eating all the food myself.
Q: But you use chocolate in your recipes!?!
A: This is true, I can't deny my love of chocolate, but its easier to spot it in baked goods than regular milk is, so technically he's been warned. Also, I think a few chocolate chips have less effect on him than a large glass of milk.
